I chose to listen to the session titled "leading the Change: Teaching Web2.0 - Everything you need in one place."

Wendy Drexler gives a brief overview of a wiki site she created with a friend. the site is called Teach web 2.o. The wiki was designed for teachers to share all the Web 2.0 resources that are available.

On this wiki the home page has a huge list of sites that are added to daily by teachers. Then there are pages that go into more detail on some of the sources in the list.
The format for each page is the same: resource links, examples, SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats), and ideas for the classroom. I found this amazingly beneficial.

Two cites she showcased on the video were Daft Doggy and Museum box. DaftDoggy can be used in these ways: (these were taken from the "oppportunities" section)

• Create guided research opportunities for students.
• Collect a list of websites for students to use for research.
• Students can use DaftDoggy to collect websites.
• Use tags to see if someone else recorded a session that you can use.
• Apparently, voice recording might be an added feature in the future. This would be a great addition to the program.

Here is the list of Strengths for Museum Box:

• Museum Box provides an unique method for students to create projects.
• It provides a new twist for research papers and thesis papers.
• Museum Box allows students to use a variety of information to complete the project instead of a limited format like traditional papers.
• While completing a project that utilized Museum Box, students will have to practice organization skills to complete the task.
• Museum Box can be utilized as a collaborative assignment.
• Can be implemented in a Teacher-Assisted Center in an Elementary School classroom

Overall I really liked this session and will definitely use this wiki!
